20: Baby Ruth with Special Guest Derek

David and Josh are now twenty episodes into the Good Book. They keep getting calls from religious leaders and theology experts, begging to come on the show but Josh said no; he wanted his cousin on the pod. And it was a good decision! Derek finally puts to rest the Kansas City, Kansas/Kansas City, Missouri debate once and for all. He also talks about growing up attending Catholic School. Derek and David also roast Josh quite a bit, but everyone expected that.

19: Second Kings Part Twice

The Bible Boys are back. Josh was away last weekend, but he's back now with some hard hitting questions like, "Is there bible stuff in the Lord of the Rings?" He immediately regretted asking this question. Anyway. David and Josh wrap up the last half of the second half of the Book of Kings, also called Second Kings, not 2 Kings, or Too Kings. David has some strong opinions about Josiah. And Josh realizes something about the saying, "God gives his toughest battles to his strongest soldiers."

18: Second Kings Part 1

David had some issues with his dog and he's sorry about the rustling and the squeaking. Beyond that, David and Josh begin the first part of Second Kings. You know the drill: A king rises, he does some horrible stuff, he's punished (usually by dying), a successor rises, the cycle repeats. But at least the Bible Boys have some fun talking through it. No new episode next week, as Josh will be away, but there will be a Deep Cuts with some choice material that's sure to make you say, "Wow. These Bible Boys sure are funny," or at least something like that.

17: First Kings Part Two

The Good-Word Bible Boys had a lot of fun with this one. Josh recollects his time working in politics and also almost loses his mind from not being able to find a song but by god — not really — he found it. David sleeps for about an hour while Josh talks about Metal Gear Solid V, but most importantly, David walks us through the last half of First Kings. Keep the faith, friends. Episode 16: First Kings Part One

Friends, it's time for a regal episode of Bible Study. We're onto First Kings, or One Kings, as some people might call it. Josh spread the good word about the Good Podcast to some missionaries in Vermont. David goes on a little rant about comparing gold today to gold back in the olden days. Josh does some math, and yes, we cover that section of First Kings, featuring Solomon's infinite wisdom. There was a lot cut from this episode, so the next Deep Cuts should be a real fun time for sure.

Easter Special (And Deep Cuts #3)

Brothers, sisters, and friends. Instead of a typical episode this week, David and Josh wanted to wish listeners a happy, special Easter with a short Easter Special of Bible Study. David walks through his church schedule for Good Friday and Easter Sunday, and Josh has some questions about why kids eat chocolate and eggs on Easter. Thanks for listening. Episode 15: Two Samuel Second Furious

Well, well, well. Another week goes by and David and Josh finished another book of the Bible. This time, Second Samuel. Josh wrote some new music for the intro. If you like it, great! If you don't, keep those opinions to yourself (he doesn't like criticism). There's some minor background noise in the beginning because David's new dog keeps chewing on toys. Also discussed: Josh's research into Bible Billboards; the above-ground Pool of Gibeon; a biblical interpretation of the Monica Lewinsky scandal/a Monica Lewinsky interpretation of the bible.
